Silent Volume Control

December 31, 2007

If you are ever in a public place, staff meeting  or whatever this feature comes in handy…

Every time you raise or lower the volume, it makes a “bloop” sound, you can turn that off by going to system preferences…or you  can hold down the shift key while lowering or raising the volume to not play that sound.

Here is a cool little feature in Leopard: Quickview. It really saves a lot of time, specially if it is a Microsoft file or a Adobe file etc. Well, if you need to see it a little more, click on the file and hit (space bar).

Here is what it looks like when you are playing a movie in quickview:

New Features on the New Dock…

November 6, 2007

Everything Apple does just keeps getting better (as usual). For instance, with the new dock, (which I don’t like the new dock as much) there is a new feature that shows you what programs are open! All open programs will have a new little blue light/reflection under the application icon.

Lets zoom in

See that little blue light at the bottom of the picture?

Searching Leopard for Sherlock?

November 5, 2007

I’m sad to announce that Sherlock-the program that allows you to look up flights, ebay items, and much more-is missing! Apple did not announce the retirement of the program officially, put upon installing the new OS, it seems to delete the program, and on top of that it is not mentioned anywhere on the Apple website. I have tried to copy it on to my compute from others, but it doesn’t seem to work. If anyone got it to copy please let me know in the comments!
